It's been a while, but here's a new papercraft model designed by myself!

This is Etopen, from the manga/anime Saki, which is about mahjong.

Actually, that was not a good picture.  Etopen is usually shown shorter and more rounded, possibly with some kind of growth impairment problem due to constantly being crushed by Nodoka's boobs.

Here's a plush of Etopen, and I'm basing my design on this picture.

Oh, and here is an already-made Etopen papercraft printout that seems to come with the purchase of Saki anime DVDs or something, I'm not quite sure.  I like the simplicity of it, though the completely 2-dimensional flat feet are a bit pushing it toward the lazy side.

Download Links Updated

Whoa, it has come to my attention that the download links with expire automatically after some time of inactivity with those files, and also that hosting site itself sometimes goes down entirely, for reasons unknown.

Anyway, I have reuploaded all files to and updated the Downloads page of this blog.  If the downloads become unavailable again, please let me know via the Shout Box at the sidebar of this blog.

Also, thanks for the suggestion for uploading to Thingiverse.  It's a cool site, but I just wouldn't be motivated enough to provide all the step-by-step instructions expected there.  All I provide in the download is the .pdo, which should tell you everything you need for building the papercraft model.  You are expected to have some basic proficiency and experience at building papercraft models to implicitly figure out the optimal build order and such.  If you run into some particular difficulties in building one of my models, it may be just because my designs are kinda awkward in some situations.  I might discuss those situations here on my blog and how I dealt with them.  I hope that helps!
